A prolific 2 lake carp fishery situated just 10 miles North West of Norwich in the village of Lyng Easthaugh

This fishery is packed full of hard-fighting carp from low figures up to weights well in excess of 40lb.
The carp average upper doubles in size and plenty range from twenty to thirty pounds.
The lakes were stocked with 2,200 carp consisting of 70% common and 30% mirror carp imported under MAFF license in 1994 and 1995.
These fish have been specially bred for their large fins and strong fighting quality. There are other species present that include a large head of bream in the 8-9lb range with some topping 13lb.
Other species include roach, tench and pike to (35lb).
Facilities include an on site shop selling tackle, food and refreshments and baits, toilet and shower facilities, drinking water and trolleys for transporting tackle around the lakes.

Day Ticket Lake :

The day ticket lake is approx 20acres and has lots of features: bars, gullies, gravel, silt, islands, lilies, plateaus and warm springs.
Depths range from 3ft to 20ft. There are 31 bank side swims.
Nine of these swims have room for two anglers.
Two further swims are the 'island' swim, which is the main island in the middle of the lake and peg 32, which is at the nature reserve end of the lake.
Both of these swims give anglers the chance to fish areas that can't be reached from the bank and are reachable by boat.

Season Ticket lake :

The season ticket lake is approx 4 acres.
There are approx 60 carp ranging from upper doubles to upper thirty pounds.
A 43lb 2 oz common carp caught in March 2007 is the new lake record.
Most of the carp are commons, but there are also mirror, leather and linear carp.

Rules :

Please dip and rinse nets, unhooking mats and weigh slings before setting up.
2 rods only per person (marker rods must be reeled in once area has been selected).
Never leave rods unattended.
Min line strength 10lb, max 15lb.
No braided main lines
Barbless hooks only (not barbed hooks with nipped down barbs(, max size 4, no bent hooks, longshank Nailer pattern etc.
No leadcore in any shape or form.
Leads must be able to break free with a minimum amount of force.
Unhooking mats must be large and well padded i.e. beanie mat, carp cradle.
Landing nets must be at least 42" (90cm).
No unhooking fish on platforms. Use a dampened down mat at all times and carry fish to water in either a landing net or weigh sling release.
Antiseptic must be used to treat abrasions on fish.
No trout pellets, peanuts or tiger nuts. No pre-baiting or excessive feeding.
No sacking of fish, unless damaged (for checking by staff).
No transferring fish between lakes.
No fishing is allowed on the North
No litter. Please use the bins provided.
Please retain any damaged or sick fish and advise bailiff.
No cutting back vegetation.
No pressurised or bright lamps.
No boats, inc. bait boats.
Anyone trying to remove fish from these waters will be prosecuted, we operate 24hour surveillance.
Anglers using boats to get to island swim and peg 32, must not use them for baiting up or rowing baits out.
No fires or barbecues.
No excess alcohol (4 cans! bottles overnight maximum)
No drugs.
No dogs.
No swimming.
No bivvy mallets.
No loud noise or music.
Please use toilets provided (not the bushes)
All barrows provided must be returned to the compound after delivering your equipment to a swim.

Directions :

From the A47: Along the A47 take the Hockering turn off (midway between Norwich and Swaffham).
In the village of Hockering, go past the school on your right and take the next turning on your right signposted to Lenwade.
Continue along this road for approx. 2miles and you will then come to a T-Junction.
Take a left turn toward Lenwade.
Follow this road for another 2miles.
After going down a hill you will see two bungalows above the road on your left.
Straight after these turn left toward Lyng and Lyng Easthaugh and go along the Lyng Easthaugh Road.
The fishery is situated around a mile on your right behind Walnut Tree Farm.
Go past the farm for another 400yds, then turn right along the gravel works road.
The entrance to the fishery is approx. 200yds on your right.
Follow the track to the fishery car park.

From A1067 Norwich - Fakenham Road:
In the village of Lenwade, turn left before the bridge towards Hockering.
Go past the golf club and Dinosaur Park on your left.
Approx. 400yds past these take a turn right on the brow of a hill towards Lyng and Lyng Easthaugh.
Go past Walnut Tree Farm on your right and take the next turn right along the gravel works road.
The entrance to the fishery is approx. 200yds on your right.
Follow the track to the fishery car park.
