Tucked away in the quiet village of North Frodingham.

Emmotland Ponds quickly became a popular venue for local coarse fishing since being transformed from original gravel pits. The four lakes with a total of 60 pegs and covering some 10 acres surrounded by natural features has become well known as a specimen carp and coarse fishing venue.

Facilities include toilet and shower block, tackle & bait shop plus cafe offering breakfast & evening Meals

Pond 1 :

With specimen Carp to over 45lb along with Catfish and Pike this 6 peg lake is 1¾ acres of challenge for the experienced angler.
The specimen carp in this lake are older and wiser than in Pond 3 requiring skill and a good knowledge of the species.
During the winter months ghost carp will also be added to this fishing lake.
Pike also laze in this lake during the summer months, becoming more active as the temperatures drop.
The third species here is the Wels Catfish.
These sporadic feeders require a strong arm and rod to land.
If you fish this lake bring some sturdy tackle.

Pond 2 :

The largest fishing lake with 4½ Acres of water stocked with Catfish to 70 lbs, Pike, Specimen Carp to over 30lbs.

Pond 3 :

The smallest of the four fishing lakes Pond 3 is a coarse lake with a generous stock of Bream, Carp, Roach, and Tench.
This is the ideal fishing lake for those new to fishing or developing their skills.
With carp sizes varying from 3lb to 30lb this also a good lake for carpers to catch their first double.

Pond 4 :

2 Acres of well stocked water this coarse lake has proved popular for competition events.
This day ticket lake contains a variety of species that include Bream, Ide, Perch, Roach, Tench, Carp: Common, Crucian, Mirror and with 30 pegs available makes it the ideal venue for individual or competition fishing.
A good lake for trying out new bait and tactics with a variety of fish.
An open coarse fishing competition is held on Pond Four every weekend.
Everyone is welcome, tickets are available on the day.

Barbless or crushed barbs
No lead core
No keepnets
Large unhooking mats compulsory (Landing mats minimum of 36" pond 2)
No braid on main line
No sacking
No nuts
No fixed rigs
Carp mats (European carp mats compulsory on pond 1 and 3 )
No litterbugging
