Horam Manor Fishery



Set in the secluded countryside of Sussex.

This coarse fishery consists of nine well established waters each with plenty of features such as reeds, lillies, islands, and overhanging trees. Open all year round with facilities including car park, toilets, tea rooms.

House Pond :

Easy access for the disabled, this water is stocked with Carp that include Commons, Mirrors, Wild Carp, Crucians. Other species are Roach, Rudd, and Tench.
All baits work well, with carp being caught on all the normal baits such as Boilies, Luncheon meat, Sweetcorn.
Maggots for Roach and Rudd.
Depths go to about 3 feet with most methods working well.

Great Pond :

Larger than the House pond with depths varying from 3 to 5 feet and features including an island, lilly pads, weed beds and reeds.
Stocked with the same as House pond with carp going to 12lb and Tench to 4lb.
With 12 pegs and being close to the car park and other facilities this water get busy

Banky Pond :

Depths of 7 feet with a large reed bed and overhanging trees.
Stocked with the same as the previous 2 waters but includes Bream, Perch and Gudgeon.
All baits and methods work, but with float and leger being best.

Long Water :

Depths of 12 feet withoverhanging trees and a very narrow end.
Same stocks as the other waters with carp to 10lb, Perch to 3lb, and Bream to 5lb.
Most methods work but with float and leger most popular

Coney :

A good match practice water, depths go from 3 to 6 feet with many features such as an island, reeds and overhanging trees.
Stocked with Carp to 10lb, Perch to 3lb, Tench, Roach, Rudd and Crucians.

Brook Pit :

A small secluded water that surprisingly holds Carp to 10lb, Perch and a good head of Roach.
Depths vary from 3 to 7 feet with features including overhanging trees and reeds, but be carefull of sunken logs and tree stumps.

Lagoon :

Very popular for carp anglers looking for a 24 hour session.
Also holds Perch, Roach and Rudd.

Clearhedges :

Although a long walk is neede to get to this water, it is still very popular for Carpers.
It contains some of the fisherys largest carp as well as Perch, Roach,Rudd, Tench and Crucians.

Catchpool :

Recently restored and only lightly fished, but sure to be very popular with Carp to 10lb and large heads of Small Tench, Roach, Rudd and Crucians.

Directions :

Horam Manor Fishery is on the outskirts of the small village of Horam.
As you drive south through Horam on the A267, Horam Manor is signposted at the entrance to the recreation ground on your right as you leave the village.
Follow the road past the entrance to the caravan site until you come to the car park.
There you will see two waters either side of the car park and the notice board where you pay and can find directions to our other waters.
