Pasture House Fisheries
Pasture House Fisheries Ltd. has been in operation since 2002 and the owners Will Palmer and Chris Smith has make this one of the most popular and prolific fisheries in the area.
Pasture House Fisheries has 2 separate lakes covering 8.4 acres and operates as day ticket fishery from dawn to dusk.
Night fishing is by prior arrangement only and is charged at double the day ticket rate 365 days a year.
The lakes are available for club matches and operate some open matches throughout the year.
Holiday Timber Cabins are available to rent out on a daily or weekly basis plus a brand new 60 seater cafe with toilets and disabled facilities.There is also an on-site tackle shop that will cater for all your fishing needs in terms of bait and tackle.
Main Lake
This is situated to the right of the track and runs the length of the venue.
It is 5.9 acres in size and has maximum depths of 20feet.
In addition to its 46 pegs, there is a wooden bridge at the southern linking it to a further 1.3 acres of water called "The Neck".Here you will find a further 16 pegs.
The Main Lake has a very good stock of Bream, Tench, Roach and Perch, but also has Carp up to 35lbs.
Canal Lake
This is on the left of the track as you drive down the fishery, 250 metres long and 20 metres wide, it is 1.3 acres in size. Depths vary from 4ft to a maximum depth of 10ft.
It has 21 pegs with a footpath linking each peg and has a car park at each end.
With the restocking of no less than 25,000 fish that include Mirror, Common,Ghost and Crucian Carp, Chub,Roach, Rudd, Bream, Tench and Ide this makes for a very productive water for both the pleasure angler and match angler alike.
The carp go to 20lbs, but average at around 6lbs and there are thousands of stockies.
Meat or pellet normally produces the carp, fishing a feeder tight over or the near shelf on the pole.
Rules :
Barbless hooks ONLY (except for pike fishing)
A maximum of 2 kilos of groundbait per person.
Only carp friendly keepnets are allowed but any fish over 6lbs must be placed back into the water.
Fishing from marked pegs only. (NOT FROM THE BANK)
Fish must be handled with care
Keep to the footpaths at all times
Cars to be parked in the parking areas.
Litter must be taken home after fishing.
No Braid.
Do not roll fish down the keepnets unless under the water.
Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
No tins allowed on the bank, i.e. meat, sweetcorn, cat food, dog food etc.
Fish to be weighed in by the management.(matches)
No cycles to be ridden behind fishing pegs.
No spectators, unless authorised by the management.
The management reserve the right to refuse any person on site.
