Pondwood Fisheries
With 3 waters this venue is a "premier" fishing facility for all type of angler with one lake dating back to medieval times.
The original 1 metre wide brook was extended and widened to form the aptly named "Snake River" which is stocked with thousands of home-grown fish that include carp, roach, chub, perch, pike, rudd and tench.
The oldest of the carp lakes has an island in the middle accessible via a bridge and is stocked with carp tp 20lb that were introduced around 25 years ago and are an Italian strain which have been known to spawn 3 times per year.
Other species include tench, roach, chub and catfish to 35lb.
The "Middle" lake has only carp upto 25lb, but some of the most amazing fish you will have seen.
There are toilet facilities on the complex and also ample car parking.
