Sherwood Forest Fishery
A mixed fishery catering for all angling, pleasure, match and specimen.
There are 5 lakes set in 20 acres of Sherwood Forest alongside the river Maun.
Faclities include 6 large car parks with easy access to most pegs by car, disabled parking possible at most pegs, tea room serving breakfast and other snacks, and also toilet and washing facilities.
There is no on site tackle shop but quality bait is available within 3 miles and can also be delivered.
Cavendish Lake :
An oblong shaped water with 25 pegs, fringed with reeds covering approx. 1 acre with depths of 3 to 6 feet.
Fishing is from one bank only on this 60 metre wide water.
Contains mixed species with Carp going to 24lb, Tench, Roach, and big Gudgeon, Bream. Pole, Waggler and the Feeder all work well throughout the year, the pole fished down the margins or out to 11m is best.
Sweetcorn, meat, maggots and paste all produce well fished over a bed of carp pellets.
Chopped worm and caster are excellent in winter for the Roach.
Pleasure fishing only and keepnets are not allowed.
Maunside :
Opened early 2002.
This narrow strip of water has 20 pegs and is 12 metres wide with depths to 6 feet.
Stocks include small carp, chub and orfe.
Mainly pole fishing across to the far shelf, bite a cast on maggot,Hemp, caster for mainly chub. Pellets and small pieces of meat and corn fished on the bottom at about 9m for small carp.
Keepnets in matches only.
Sherwood Lake :
A large 'S' shaped water fringed with reeds and has lots of islands and under water bars, lily's, with fishing on both sides.
It covers 4¾ acres with 64 pegs.
Contains 15 different species with Carp going to 20lb, Tench 6lb, Roach & Orfe 2lb and Bream to 4lb.
Pegs 42 - 64 are best for Bream as there are no features as such.
Wagler and maggot fished on a 22 hook will always get you a little roach.
Langdale Channel :
A very small oval shaped water with 30 pegs covering only 1 acre with an island in the middle.It is 11 metres wide and its depths go to 5 feet.
Predominantly a silverfish water and small carp.
Pole and whip are the best methods with maggot, pinkies and caster scoring the best.
The biggest fish in the channel is just over the pound mark with loads around 4oz.
Popular for both club and pleasure Angler, lots of bites and fish to be had.
Keepnets can be used for pleasure fishing.
Holmedale Lake :
An irregular shaped water fringed with reeds and also has lillies and an island.
2½ acres in size with 56 pegs and depths to 5 feet.
Carp dominate but there is also a large head of roach that can be caught on pole.
Method feeder cast tight to the islands also produces lots of fish.
Rules :
No Boilies, Nuts, Peas or Beans.
Carp Pellets only.
No braid Barbless Hooks only Maximum size 6.
All kinds of meat based pet food is banned on our fishery has is the feeding of floating baits
All nets must be dipped.
Bloodworm and Joker allowed on Langdale only

Directions :
Take the A60 out of Mansfield, join the A6075 signposted Edwinstowe.
At the Warsop crossroads turn right signposted Clipstone and Sherwood Forest Farm Park.
200yards on right turn into Farm Park entrance, signposted fishing and follow the signs down the lane.
