Willowcroft Fishery
Willowcroft Fishery is based at Pentney Lakes and offers some of the best fishing in the area.
Open all year round with eight lakes to choose from that are all well stocked with carp, bream, roach, rudd, perch and catfish.
For the angling enthusiast this haven will be your dream come true,the fishing lakes are in a seperate area to the rest of the Leisure Park so that you can concentrate on your fishing.
Bait is sold on site in "The Cabin" shop and stocks most leading brands of boilies, ground baits and terminal tackle.
In addition to this light refreshments can be purchased and there are full shower facilities and toilets.
John Knott the resident bailiff helps to look after the lake and also gives tuition from years of his fishing experience also offering advice on how and where to catch on the complex.
An under 16's lake is available so that younger members of the family can also take part in one of the UK's most popular sports.
There are also Caravan and Tent areas located in between the lakes for those anglers who prefer to be close to their catches'
The lakes are permanently managed and are kept well stocked at all times.
The Cabin Lake :
The Cabin Lake is six acres in size and has an average depth of eight feet down to 20. It's stocked with grass carp to 28 lb and there are plenty of bream. For the perch fanatics out there this water could possibly hold a new record perch. The main feature in the lake is a sunken barge frequented by catfish which run to over 30 lb. Boilies are the main bait for carp, cats and larger bream.
The Under 16 Lake:
The Under 16 Lake is an ideal starter ! intermediate lake with the potential of catching a bonus fish stocked with a multitude of species including Ide, Pike, Perch, Roach, Rudd and Carp.
It is half an acre in size and is the shape of a doughnut.
Carp to 10 lb, pole fishing or waggler fishing with maggot produce.
Easy , accessible fishing pegs with no steep banks with a maximum depth of only 3 and a half foot.

The Millennium 2000 Lake :
The Millenium lake is around four and a half acres and has two islands.
Depths drop down to 12 feet with the average being four.
Perch, pike, roach, bream and carp to 18 lb are the main species.
This water responds well to mixed approach with pole and maggot doing well.
The Ski Lake :
The Ski Lake has restricted fishing due to the size of the water.
Depths average 18 feet and there are many features like islands and gravel bars.
This is a hard water and is stocked with wild carp to 30 lb.
Night fishing is best for carp and tench.
The Catfish Lake :
The Catfish Lake is three acres and has one island.
The depths drop to eight feet and the water is stocked with catfish and rare Albino grass carp which are growing fast.
This is the only water in the country with these rare breed of carp.
Recommended baits for catfish are squid and liver.
There are plenty of jack pike stocked along with very rare Albino Grass Carp.
Ghost Lake :
The most secluded and overlooked lake on the complex stocked with ghost,mirrors and common 8 -16lb with depths of up to 10ft.
These fish will probably give you the best fight on the complex and tempt you back for another confrontation.
We recommend a minimum of 10lb line in this lake, surface baits work as well as the more traditional boilie approach.
Bird Lake :
The Bird Lake is 40 acres in size and has depths down to 20 ft.
It features one island the in middle.
The water is reputed to be 30 years old and the stock is not really known.
However, a big head of bream with individuals to 7 lb are known to exist. Pike sport with fish to 22 lb is also good.
There will be boats available in the winter for pike fishing on this lake.
Specimen Lake :
This lake is 4.5 acres with depths down to 18 feet but an average of 12 ft.
It features plenty of gravel bars, mussel beds and is stocked with carp from 16 lb to 34 lb. Bream to 7 lb, tench to 5 lb, roach rudd and pike to around 20 lb are also present.
The main baits on this water are boilies, particularly Nash's whisky versions or ant Strawberry flavoured boilies.
Pellets on the Method feeder also work very well.
Rules :
As with the rest of the fishery one strict rule barbless hooks only.

A strict 5 mph speed limit is enforced throughout site and the recommended braking strain is 10lb

Directions :
Travelling from Kings Lynn towards Swaffham on the A47 you will come to the Carpenter's Arms which is situated approximately six miles from Kings Lynn.
Turn off right into Common Road and follow the road for 1.5 miles.
Willowcroft Fishery is situated on the left hand side.
